so took part in a facebook thing & I really hope to win cos nothing beats the feeling of winning something (& it'll also be really cool to go to a James Blunt concert)!
"You'll know me as Leonie. I am eighteen years old, and I'm grateful that I still am able to wake up to a brand new day and know that I'm still alive. I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Mediastinal Large B-cell Lymphoma in July 2010. For your information, lymphoma is a kind of blood cancer. I already had 6 cycles of chemotherapy, and also had 25 fractions of radiotherapy done. I found out that my cancer came back in April 2011. I am now preparing myself for a bone marrow transplant, and I am undergoing another course of chemotherapy.
I refuse to refer to my condition as a disease. I think I would rather phrase it as a 'series of unfortunate events'.
I went bald twice. (:
I learn something new with each passing day. This is the story of my journey, and you're welcome to follow me in every step that I take."

this is what being an optimist is all about! True that everyone faces different kinds of difficulties in life and it may not be any different compared to your own, but if you think about it, why look on the darkest of sides when there's always something good to look forward to? I'm killing myself by typing & then backspacing everything & then typing again (for like a really long time), but that's cos I can't put what I want to say in words because I don't think whatever I type will be able to express my respect towards her so, learn to appreciate what you have & just be happy & contented
& I quote my friend: "Even being able to eat and drink is a blessing"
